C-O-M-M-U-N-I-T-Y-!
so our 1st bazaar adventure commenced yesterday
location: geylang serai :) aka Makcik's Orchard Rd!
no pictos taken because we look very shagged and un-pretty
from sweats and rain (Rain...haaaiii)
but but! what i wana blog about is the spirit of community among
us Muslims which, in Spore means the malays
so at 640, grandma jaja started to nag about the essence of finding food
and a place to break fast
so we scurried and duh! it was packed
but here's where the c-o-m-m-u-n-i-t-y part come in
in that place, everyone were gathered around
its like one whole community came together
people from the old, young, mat, minah
all sit together sharing tables with complete strangers
so patient and diligent towards Allah
respecting Ramadhan
i guess, this is one of the hidden 'rahmat'
(no idea how to translate in eng)
in ramadhan, u can really see the hidden blessings given by God
food business are doing so well, the queue non-stop
then as the azan started, everyone drink together
i find it so astonished.
its hard to put it in words to describe this feeling of greatness
and gracious towards this month :)
it's not as bad as what u think
next bazaar trip: ARAB STREET/ Kandhahar St!
